Iphoto for mac yosemite6/29/2023 ![]() I assume you've gone through the complete repair/rebuild sequence for iPhoto, Permissions, Thumbnails and Database. Is your library on your local disk, or could there be some network problem? Do other programs respond OK when you start iPhoto? I'd try looking at Activity Monitor after starting iPhoto to see what's going on: cpu, disk i/o, memory usage.ĭoesn't the new version have to rebuild a bunch of stuff in your library after upgrading? I only use iPhoto for pictures from my phone, so my library's fairly small, but I've no problems on Yosemite. Didn't resolve either the slow start, nor slow opening of Info and Edit windows.Īnd if I'd read your post properly, I'd have known that I did all an iPhoto Library Permissions, Repair, a Repair iPhoto Library, and a Re-build iPhoto Library, yesterday. ![]() ![]() ![]() I hate the way Apple hide functionality behind certain key combinations. If you hold down option (alt) + cmd when you click on iPhoto to start it, you get some options to check/repair the database.
